Due to numerous requests for extending the submission deadline, the Organising Committee has decided to extend the abstract submission deadline to 31 October 2007. Accepted abstracts will be published in the International Journal of Cardiology (2006 Impact Factor: 2.234). Abstract presenters will also enjoy waiver on registration fees. Please submit abstracts to cardiology@cuhk.edu.hk. Details of the meeting can be found at www.mect.cuhk.edu.hk/cardiology. Please note that this is a hard deadline, so that the Scientific Committee can perform abstract review in a timely manner.
CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Being the first of its kind in Asia, this landmark conference is organised by the Division of Cardiology and Division of Neurology of the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Institute of Vascular Medicine, S.H. Ho Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Riding on the success of the previous one held in 2006 which has attracted over 1,000 delegates from 25 countries, it is envisaged that about 2,000 physicians, scientists and allied health professionals from around the world will attend the event.
The conference has received full support from 10 international cardiology societies, namely, Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, Asian Pacific Society of Heart Failure, College of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm Society, International Society of Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure, Oriental Congress of Cardiology, South China International Congress of Cardiology, World Heart Failure Society and World Heart Federation. It will cover the latest advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research in various cardiovascular and neurovascular diseases. World renowned experts have been invited to share their state-of-the-art knowledge and experiences through lectures, symposia, interactive case forum and certificate courses. The meeting will provide an excellent platform for participants to engage in advanced clinical dialogues and fruitful exchanges, foster friendships and possible collaborations.
